Our team recently traveled to Juneau, Alaska for the NALIT & LINCS Professional Development Seminar, held September 8–11, 2025. Hosted by the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL), this annual event brings together legislative IT and communications professionals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore how technology can strengthen transparency, efficiency, and citizen engagement.

Throughout the week, we joined conversations on legislative innovation, cybersecurity, and the evolving role of AI in government operations. The exchange of experiences and perspectives underscored how legislative staff and IT leaders are working to modernize systems while maintaining public trust and accessibility.

As part of our participation, Quisitive shared insights into the growing impact of AI-powered tools in legislative research and information management. From organizing archives to surfacing relevant data faster, these technologies are opening new opportunities for teams to make more informed and timely policy decisions.

Beyond the sessions, the event offered a valuable opportunity to connect with peers who are navigating similar challenges, modernizing technology, managing security, and preparing for the future of digital governance. The energy and collaboration throughout the seminar reflected a shared commitment to innovation in public service.

We left Juneau inspired by the work being done across state legislatures and energized to continue partnering with public sector teams as they modernize, secure, and transform their operations.
