Why We’re Excited about DIR Discover 2026
DIR Discover brings together public sector IT and data professionals for a day focused on the technologies and priorities shaping the future of government, including artificial intelligence, data governance, privacy, digital transformation, modern application development, and workforce development.
That agenda closely aligns with the work Quisitive does every day for Texas agencies and public sector organizations across the U.S., making DIR Discover a natural opportunity for our team to connect with the leaders driving technology forward across the state.
To support public sector technical advancement, Quisitive holds the Texas DIR Cooperative Contract for Artificial Intelligence Products and Services. This contractual vehicle gives eligible Texas state agencies, public institutions of higher education, public school districts, and local government entities a streamlined way to procure the latest AI services through an established cooperative purchasing vehicle without having to start a procurement process from scratch.
The contract covers a range of AI capabilities, including:
- Machine learning
- Robotic process automation
- Natural language processing
- Digital assistant services
Whether your organization is exploring its first AI initiative or looking to scale existing capabilities, our team can help you understand what’s possible and how to move from strategy to implementation.
Data and AI Work Built for Government
Government leaders do not need another AI sales pitch. They need proof that a solution can hold up and provide real constituent inside real agency constraints, from data governance to citizen privacy to legacy systems. Our public sector practice is built around that reality.
A few areas we will be discussing at DIR Discover:
- Data foundations. Accessible, Clean, and governed data is the prerequisite for any useful AI initiative. We help agencies build modern data platforms using tools like Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, so leaders can trust the numbers behind their decisions before layering on automation or analytics.
- Predictive AI for planning. We have built predictive models for state and local governments, including a five-year forecasting model that helps a city determine when and where to invest in infrastructure to support future growth. Projects like this are the kind of practical, resource-planning use cases that matters to agency leaders.
- Agentic AI for citizen services. We design AI agents purpose built for government workflows, including virtual assistants that give residents around the clock access to information on permits, tax payments, benefits, and emergency updates, along with agents that automate the search and retrieval of public records and streamline complex grant applications.
- Custom application modernization. Beyond AI, we help state and local governments modernize legislative management, case tracking, and compliance reporting systems, replacing manual processes with software built for how public sector teams actually work.
What to Expect at Booth 316
Quisitive’s Tim Cone, SLG Industry Architect, Alex Morrow, Account Executive, and Amanda Woodfork, Sr. Account Executive, will be on hand throughout the exhibit hours to talk through what any of these engagements will look like for your agency. Bring your toughest data governance question, your AI use case that never got off the ground, or your list of legacy systems that need a modernization plan. We always prefer to have a direct conversation about your needs and constraints than hand you a generic sales pitch.
If procurement is on your mind, we can also walk through how the DIR-CPO-5154 contract works and what it takes to get a quote moving. Contact us to learn more
